I spend half of each year working aboard Expedition Cruise ships and the rest of the year at home in Hebden Bridge, producing art work inspired by my travels to Antarctica, the Arctic and places in between.

I studied zoology at the University of Liverpool and then began work as a wildlife artist and mural painter at Chester Zoo and I then lived and worked in East Africa for a year and a half, illustrating a guide book to Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda, and doing numerous murals.

I went on to gain a Masters in Natural History Illustration from the Royal College of Art in London. I am now mainly focused on producing limited edition wood engravings and water colours of Arctic and Antarctic wildlife.
