Handmade Parade began in 2008 as a single event in Hebden Bridge and we’ve since grown into a year-round arts organisation that produces amazing community-focused parades and other productions, run workshops, and build incredible giant puppets, lanterns and other artwork.

We work with a large network of talented visual artists, makers, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, techies, costume designers, circus performers and parade specialists to produce our own local events – the Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade and Todmorden’s Lamplighter Festival – and we also partner with other organisations to work nationally and internationally, bringing colour, light, magic and wonder to communities near and far – our aim is to bring joy to people, and to connect them to the places they live in.
