Applications for Hebden Bridge Open Studios 2026
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
INTRODUCTION
This summer’s event will take place 3-5 July in Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and the surrounding villages. If you live outside of Hebdenroyd/ HX7 area you are welcome to apply for our art and craft fair venues. Priority will be given to artists who live/work in the Upper Calder Valley.
We also host an exhibition in Hebden Bridge Town Hall in June and July and all members are welcome to take part.
Our successful Window Trail will be in over fifty shops, cafés, galleries and other venues during the week before Open Studios and all members are invited to exhibit work in this.
APPLICATIONS 2026
Applications for membership to Hebden Bridge Open Studios for 2026 and taking part in our events are subject to acceptance of our full terms and conditions- HBOS member terms and conditions 2026.
To apply, all artists / makers must be producing art or craft items: makers of goods and commodities that require regular replacement, such as candles, soap, and foodstuffs are not eligible to join Hebden Bridge Open Studios.
Event opening hours are 10.30am – 5pm from Friday to Sunday and all studios and venues must be able to open for all three days and these times. The only exception is the Methodist Church, which opens later on Sunday at 11.30am.
All Members taking part in the July event are included on our website and in our A6 brochure, receiving a third of a page listing and a number on our event map. Further advertising space is available to buy- see below.
We also offer Associate Membership so you can still join us even if you are unable to do the July event- you will be listed on our website and able to join in with the Town Hall exhibition and Hebden Bridge window trail. You also have the option of joining us for the December event later in the year.
DEADLINES
- Application deadline to join us to open your own studio for the July event- 22nd February 2026.
- Application deadline to join a craft fair in July in the Methodist Church or Making Mill- 8th February 2026. THIS DEADLINE HAS NOW CLOSED. Places will then be offered by Friday 13th February and will need paying for and confirming by 22nd February. Once you have confirmed paid for a place you can also apply for advertising space and will be asked about taking part in the window trail and exhibition.
- Application deadline to join us as an Associate Member– 22nd February 2026.
FEES
Membership:
- Membership of Hebden Bridge Open Studios for 2026 and taking part in July’s event- £65 (with 10% commission payable on sales at events over £500) OR £130 (with no commission payable).
- Associate Membership for 2026  (not taking part in the July event)- £35.
- Please note- All members are allowed to take part in our Window Trail and exhibition at the Town Hall. There is no additional charge for this.
Craft Fair spaces:
If you are unable to open your own studio you can apply to join us in one of our shared craft fair venues. Please note priority is given to those nearest to Hebden Bridge. Click here for more details on our shared venues. This year’s additional charges for a space are as follows:

- Hebden Royd Methodist Church– £40 for a small space or £60 for a larger space. (24 spaces available). Level access. Tables and boards available for hire if needed.
- The Making Mill– £40 per stall (11 spaces available). Please note The Making Mill is accessed via stairs. Tables included in price.
Advertising:
- All artists taking part in the event will be featured on our website and in our printed brochure. You can request an additional advert in our brochure for £40 for a third page, £80 two thirds of a page, or £120 for a full page. This can be requested in the applications for opening your own studios and associate membership below. For those applying for a craft fair space, you will be able to apply for advertising once a place is offered. Adverts will need paying for and artwork submitting by end of February.

- Please complete the relevant form below.
- All applicants must read and agree to our 2026 Terms and Conditions and tick the box to say you have read them and will adhere to them.
- If applying to join us for the July event- you must have both Public Liability and Product Liability Insurance in place before the event. We suggest The Artists Network, for this if you don’t have it. We need to see proof of this once your place has been offered/ confirmed.
- If applying for a space in one of our craft fair venues- please fill in the form below and give your venue preferences. You will then be contacted after the 8th February with an offer- at which point we will need the following information- your full name and trading name if you have one, address, email, contact number, any social media handles or website address, a short bio and description of your work (145 characters written in the first person), an image for the brochure, and additional images we can use in marketing if you have them. Once offered a space you will need to pay for membership and the venue space, and any advertising if requested- this will be due by BACS by 22nd February- you will be sent out details to pay with your offer.
- If opening your own studio – You will need your full name, trading name (if you have one), address and studio address, email, contact number, any social media handles or website address, a short bio and description of your work (145 characters written in the first person), an image for the brochure, and additional images we can use in marketing if you have them.
- If opening your own studio- once the form is submitted you need to pay by BACS the amount for membership, (£65 or £130), using your full name as the reference by the 22nd February. Our bank details will be shared once form is submitted. Please also pay any additional fees for advertising by BACS at the same time.
- If joining as an Associate Member you will need to enter your full name, trading name (if you have one), address and studio address, email, contact number, any social media handles or website address, a short bio and description of your work (145 characters written in the first person), and an image for the website. Our bank details will be shared once form is submitted. Please also pay any additional fees for advertising by BACS at the same time.
