I am constantly looking for broken watches and clocks. I collect and recycle these antique, modern and vintage timepieces, reworking the parts, to create unique and original pieces of contemporary jewellery from traditional horological materials.
The elements composing a mechanical watch, the variety, intricacy and quality are fascinating and beautiful in themselves. Each part has a history. I start by looking at the shapes and colours of these materials and then work to create a collaged design. Creating each piece involves a careful selection of materials, designing as I make, refining, collaging and layering through several stages to completion. In this way each piece of work is unique.
Though it may appear delicate, Watch Piece Jewellery is of solid construction and meticulously crafted to last. The range includes cuff links, brooches, earrings, pendants, tie pins and rings, with prices from £4 to £120.
From classical elegance to fantastical forms, the work covers a wide range of styles, for both men and women.
Modern day curiosities evocative of a bygone age.
