For over twenty years I have loved the place I live. Mental notes help me to absorb information about how the weather smudges the lines and forms of the land around me. I describe these conditions on my canvases and boards in paint – not always choosing traditional colours.
When things are flowing and I have released expectations I become immersed in the process to the exclusion of all else. Recently I have been working on small panels and postcard sized supports; this allows me to play easily.
Working mainly in acrylics, I use stretched canvas, cradled boards, and panels.
