My background is in theatre, fine art and textiles. I recently designed costumes for two epic outdoor events to celebrate the bicentenary of the Stockton to Darlington Railway.
For Open Studios, I open the front of my studio to create a pop-up shop selling cushions, tea towels, aprons and other items printed with maps. These feature Hebden Bridge and its surroundings as well as the cities, countryside and coastline of Great Britain.
Step inside the studio to see my recent prints and paintings.
My artwork for public spaces includes three large sculptural chairs for Chester Zoo for a festival of art and gardens visited by over a million people. A highlight of the project was working with the zoo’s horticultural team to design permanent gardens to surround the chairs.
My largest artwork to date was a 200 metre landscape artwork for a hilltop, featuring an enormous murmeration of starlings.
